and one more Easter post...

We had a great Easter this year! On Sunday we spent the day at home with our little family, we did bubbles outside, watched finding faith in Christ, Travis and Ella took a nap!, and I was wishing for a nap :), talked to Gma and Gpa on Skype, then headed to Shupe's for Easter dinner and an Easter hunt. The dinner was awesome as always and the hunt was perfect for the kiddos. It was a great day of being with family!
We had a primary Easter hunt a week ago and I had to give a short message at it. I kept thinking what will I do that brings the spirit of Easter to these kids but also keeps their short attention spans. I was so grateful for this 3 minute message that I had to prepare because it really gave me the opportunity to think about my Savior and the blessing that Him and the Resurrection are in my life. and as I testified to the primary kids of our ward, I was so overcome with the spirit and so grateful for the blessing of the Resurrection in my life and that I have the opportunity to live with my Savior again!! What an awesome thing! and I tried so hard this year to testify to my own kids of this importance and I can just hope and pray that they get it, i know they are young and the Easter basket and egg thing seems a lot more interesting than anything else, but I just hope they can understand the importance of Easter. My own parents were so good at that, we always had so much fun doing all those fun things on Christmas and Easter but they always made sure we understood the balance of them and took that time to thank our Heavenly Father for our Savior. I can't remember a Christmas or Easter morning where we didn't have a family prayer before opening presents or finding easter baskets, and we have tried to do that in our home and just hope that our kids will always remember what is most important and at the same time be able to have fun and enjoy family traditions... wow, sorry I kind of got carried away there... here are a few more pics of our Easter Celebration!!

After the hunt we tried taking pictures of all the kids, tried is the key word here, Tobie and Brig were in their on little world......

so I zoomed in on them with my camera and saw this, they were playing dinosaurs, so cute...

Ella and Claire were just happy to have their suckers...

And the best part of our Easter, we got to meet our new little niece and cousin.....

Samantha B. Shupe.....isn't she the sweetest thing!

Happy Easter everyone!!

More Easter...

Easter Morning...

Ella loved looking for eggs and finding her basket, and please excuse the fingerprints on my fire place!!

Parley searched and searched for his basket and finally found it in a little cupboard in our room! He lives for this stuff!

Brig's basket was in the dryer and look how thrilled he was to find it!!
We had a fun easter morning, we have church at 9 so we got started pretty early! after we got everyone ready for church we reminded them of the real reason we celebrate easter and had a family prayer and we were off to church!

coloring eggs...

Coloring eggs is always a fun, messy tradition! Parley was the only one who really loved it this year and that was fine with me because the other 2 were a little too messy! Travis even came home when we had 2 eggs left so we let him in on the fun!!

5 year Well Check...

Parley has been dreading this day for a long time and I just really wanted to get it over with so that he can look forward to kindergarten!!  He was a total CHAMP, they weighed him and measured him first, then took him down the hall to do a vision test, which he passed with flying colors, then he had to pee in a cup, him and brig thought this was so funny. Than the Dr. checked everything even his bottom parts (which Parley was quite hesitant about but only just looked at me with a concerned look) , and said that Parley is doing awesome!! The Dr. drew some shapes on some paper and asked parley to draw them too, after Parley was done he told him how well he did and than looked at me and said you have a perfectionist on your hands, He definitely gets that from his dad!! Than the nurse came in and gave him 3 shots, he didn't cry or wine or fight me at all. he was awesome and I was so proud!! The doctor gave him 3 suckers because he had to get 3 shots and as we were leaving the nurse said to me, that was the most pleasant 5 year old visit I have ever had, she said she usually has to fight the 5 year olds especially with the shots, Way to go P-man!! and in Parley's words, "I totally Rocked It"!!

and Now we have someone who is very excited for KINDERGARTEN!!

Colorado Rockies...

Baseball season has begun!! Parley is loving this year because he is playing real baseball this time, where we have outs and keep score, but he is loving it mostly because all of his best friends are on his team even his cousin! He is doing pretty good, on his first time up to bat he hit it on the first pitch! we still have a lot of practicing to do but it has been fun to watch him learn how to play "real" baseball! He is still as competitive as ever, and i love his facial expressions in some of these pictures. Way to go #12!

He is so lucky to have his best friends on his team!!

Go Colorado Rockies!!
