Cebu Phillippines Temple...

I just spoke with my Mom on Skype last night and as you know they are Mission Presidents over in the Philippine San Pablo mission and they had a special invite to attend the Cebu temple dedication, and she told me all about it last night and said it was one of those once in a lifetime most spiritual experiences they have ever had. They were able to go to the cultural event that the philipino saints put on for the prophet and other leaders that were there. and then they attended the last dedication of the day so my mom said that the prophet was in no hurry to get to the next one, She said he spoke for 45 minutes and in the other dedications he only spoke for 15, she said he told story after story. She said that Pres. Eyring came up to her after and kissed her on the forehead and thanked her for her service, Her and another mission presidents wife were able to clean up the house and the bed where the prophet spent the night. As I was talking to her, I thought to myself, What an amazing experience to be in the celestial room of the temple with the Prophet of God and other amazing leaders and to talk to them like they are best friends, I asked her if she was able to sit and talk with Pres. Monson, she said she didn't get to but my Dad did. How awesome is that! I feel so blessed to be on the receiving end of my Dad and Mom's service and I truly believe that Missions bless lives of those serving and their families no matter the sacrifice! Thanks Mom and Dad for your amazing example.

My Mom said that this was one of the most Beautiful Temples she has ever been in. Oh and my parents only have one more year, it is so nice to finally be able to say they will be home next summer!!

Just an update...

Wow, Summer has been a little crazier than I thought it would be, I feel like I haven't updated the blog forever. This is just a quick update on some things our family has been doing. If your wondering why Travis isn't in any of the pictures that is because he has been so busy at work (which we are so grateful for) and has been putting in some long hours. We are hoping to get away for the 4th of July but until then I am afraid I won't be seeing much of him!

Ella has discovered her nose and yes, she loves to pick it!!
I painted Ella's fingers and toes on sunday and This is her showing me her "pretties"
We brought the boys home these spider man nacho libre masks from our cruise and they have been the best souvenirs ever, they love them and wear them all the time! This was Parley's outfit for a better part of the day on Sunday besides the 3 hours we went to church, We weren't quite sure if he was trying to be spider man or Mr. T, but we had a good laugh everytime he ran through the room, (brig was dressed pretty much the same way minus the goggles but he wouldn't stop long enough for me to take a picture).
I took the kids out to the Roy Aquatics center with some friends and they had a blast, It really was an awesome place to go, lots of shallow areas for the little kids.

Ella thinks she has to have whatever the big kids are having, she is enjoying someone else's capri sun here..

Summer has worn Brigham right out!!
Cute Brigham!
Cute Parley..
They love to play curious george on the computer, and I love them to do it because they get along so well!!

Ella at 15 months...

I can't believe Ella is already 15 months old, the time has flown by! Ella has been such a joy to have in our family, the boys absolutely love her and are always watching out for her. Her Dad is totally in love and I have been enjoying doing little girl things with her, like painting nails and doing her hair.
Ella is a very happy little girl with quite the personality. She is learning and growing so fast...
The stats...
Weight: 22 lbs. 37%
Height: 31 1/2 inc. 82%
Head: 47.2 85%

So all the sudden miss Ella is a tall skinny girl with a big head :)
She still has her thunder thighs but I am afraid they have gotten smaller since she has been walking. She jabbers all day long and screams at me when she wants something, she has started throwing little fits and they are actually pretty funny, she throws herself on the ground and kicks her legs. She is still my best little sleeper and sleeps in until about 8:30 every day, (now if I could only get the boys to do that), She nods at anyone when she wants something, its her way of saying please. She says quite a few words, some that I can think of right now are:
uh-oh,owie,hi,mom, dad, ella, puppy, babba (bottle), pampa (grandpa), mama (gma)
She really is a sweet heart. we love you miss Els!

A new Calling...

A couple of weeks ago I was released from my calling as Relief Society Meeting Coordinator (enrichment leader), I was so sad, I totally enjoyed the calling and absolutely loved the sisters that I worked with, I will miss it. I was given a new calling as Primary Secretary, It has been an eventful couple of weeks because my last calling wasn't necessarily a sunday calling, now I am one busy girl on sundays, Our primary has 135 kids and 52 teachers, so we are busy, I haven't been in primary for 10 years and am excited to be back, I love learning the primary songs and seeing all these cute kids, I have been reading Elder Eyrings talk from conference about "helping them on their way home", it is an awesome one about how us as leaders and parents are here to set this spiritual foundation for these kids, and he promises us that if we do this with patience and understanding that us and the children we help will return safely home to our Heavenly Father and be with our families forever. It has been fun for me to watch Parley in the Sunbeams, He has quite the singing voice :) He had to say the prayer the other day in opening exercises and I was on my way up to help him but he started without me and I had to write down what he said before I forget, He said that he was glad he could go to church, and then he said he was glad that his mom got baptized so long ago and then he said that his mom was so great, it really was the sweetest thing, and it really made me look forward to my new calling!!
